The one to open first
This score is this site's own. It measures how accessible the lottery is without a large balance — not the chance that you will win. The same calculation is used on the Japanese pages.

Not required. You fund the account after winning, before confirming the purchase.
🎯How the lottery works

You can apply with no money in the account, and cancel while the window is open.

Get the money in before you confirm the purchase. Any balance in the Nomura MRF fund is applied automatically.
Choose online before the deadline. Your money is locked from the moment you confirm.
This is the largest securities house in Japan and it acts as lead underwriter on large listings very often — which matters, because the lead underwriter receives by far the biggest allocation. Despite that, entering its online lottery requires no money at all. You can apply for a major listing with a zero balance, and only need the cash once you have won.
At least 10% of the shares set aside for individuals goes into the lottery pool, and online applicants are drawn mechanically with no advantage for trading history or assets held.
The deadline is where people come unstuck. After winning you must actively confirm the purchase online within the window. Do nothing and the shares are forfeited automatically, so checking the result is not optional.
The largest securities firm in Japan, and unusually often the lead underwriter on major listings. It has deep relationships with institutional investors at home and abroad, and companies preparing to list tend to trust it.
