What stands out

  • Its カドスLANシステム links landowners with chains wanting to open stores, and it handles everything from the store proposal to design and construction
  • It also has a real estate business leasing stores (105 leases in the year to July 2026), giving it income beyond construction work
  • The annual dividend for the year to July 2026 was 180 yen per share, and the same amount is forecast for the year to July 2027

What could go wrong

  • Revenue and profit fell in the year to July 2026 because of fewer large property sales and delays on some projects, so results can swing widely depending on the timing of deals
  • Its business is concentrated in one region, centred on Yamaguchi and Hiroshima prefectures
  • As a construction and real estate business, it is sensitive to interest rates, material costs and how eager retail chains are to open new stores

About the company

A company based in Yamaguchi and Hiroshima that matches landowners with chains looking to open stores, such as drugstores, then designs and builds the stores and also leases them out.

How it makes money

Its main business is construction. Using its own matching approach, カドスLANシステム (the Cados LAN System), it connects landowners who want to make use of their land with tenant companies looking for store sites (drugstores, convenience stores, restaurants and others), and is then hired to design and build the store. It also runs a real estate business, leasing land itself, building stores on it and renting them to tenants. In the year to July 2026, construction was 78.2% of revenue and real estate 21.8%. The head office is in Yamaguchi City, with branches in Hiroshima and Fukuyama.

Where growth is meant to come from

On top of its home markets of Yamaguchi and Hiroshima, it is expanding its sales area into Fukuoka and Okayama, and aims to develop カドスタウン (Cados Town), a suburban multi-tenant shopping complex. In the year to July 2026, fewer large property sales and delays on some construction projects cut revenue by 22.5% and net profit by 52.1%. For the year to July 2027, the company forecasts revenue of 7.0 billion yen (up 19.0%) and net profit of 330 million yen (up 4.8%).
