A maker of lightweight metal parts that die-casts magnesium and aluminium and then handles the machining and inspection in-house as well.
Its core process is die casting, where molten metal is poured into a mould, and the group handles everything from casting and trimming through finishing, machining and final inspection itself. Customers span car parts, telecom equipment, medical devices, industrial machinery and office equipment, and its strength is in parts that have to be light, thin or small. It has plants in Japan, China, Thailand and Malaysia, and splits work between them — tight-tolerance short runs at home, high-volume low-cost work overseas. It also runs STG Design Labo, which develops and sells products of its own design.
The company says its goal is to become the world's leading magnesium forming and machining group, and it is working to win more orders by combining its integrated production line with its overseas plants. In August 2026 it made another company, 折居技研, a subsidiary. For the year to March 2027 the company is forecasting revenue of 7.6 billion yen.
