What stands out

  • In the year to December 2025 revenue rose 31.3% to 850 million yen and net profit was 160 million yen, with both revenue and profit higher
  • Subscription fees for ZENMU Virtual Drive, renewed each year, form the base of its revenue
  • It is extending its secret sharing technology into other fields such as drones, healthcare and generative AI

What could go wrong

  • With revenue only in the 800-million-yen range, results can swing sharply depending on when large projects are booked
  • It posted an operating loss in the first half (January to June) of the year to December 2026, so reaching the full-year forecast depends on business in the second half
  • It has never paid a dividend and forecasts no dividend for the year to December 2026

About the company

A security company that sells software to prevent data leaks from PCs and other devices, using secret sharing technology that splits data into meaningless fragments.

How it makes money

Its main product is ZENMU Virtual Drive (ZVD), which lets people work without leaving data on their PCs. It is sold to companies through sales partners and other channels, and earns recurring subscription fees on annual contracts. It also earns income from secure computation projects, which let data be analysed while still encrypted, and is working to build its ZENMU Engine technology into other companies' products such as drones.

Where growth is meant to come from

In the short term it plans to widen its network of sales partners for ZVD and support devices beyond Windows PCs. In the medium term it aims to build ZENMU Engine into products in fields such as drones, security cameras and generative AI, and in the longer term to turn secure computation into a SaaS business and expand overseas. For the year to December 2026 the company forecasts revenue of 1.08 billion yen (up 26.8%) and net profit of 300 million yen, but the first half (January to June) brought revenue of 310 million yen and an operating loss.
