What stands out

  • Brings its job site, joint briefings and careers education together under one brand, Job Draft
  • Revenue grew from 1.52 billion yen in the year to March 2023 to 2.69 billion yen in the year to March 2026
  • In the year to March 2026 it made an operating profit of 166 million yen and a net profit of 182 million yen, recovering from a loss the year before

What could go wrong

  • It booked a net loss of 184 million yen in the year to March 2025, so its earnings are not yet steady
  • Its income is concentrated on recruitment support for school leavers, which leaves it exposed if companies cut back on hiring
  • Hiring high school leavers in Japan runs on its own rules, worked through the schools, so a change in those rules would change the basis of the business

About the company

Runs Job Draft, a service that supports both high school students looking for work in Japan and the companies that hire them straight out of school.

How it makes money

It earns its money by selling recruitment services to companies that hire school leavers. The two main products are Job Draft Navi, a job listing site aimed only at high school leavers, and Job Draft Fes, joint company briefings where students meet employers face to face. It also runs Job Draft Career, careers education for students in all three high school years, and Job Draft Next, which helps people who left their first job early or finished school without a job. Hiring high school leavers in Japan follows its own rules, including going through the school itself, so many employers lack the know-how and buy it in.

Where growth is meant to come from

Its stated direction is to widen its contact with students to the stages before and after they take a job. In April 2026 it set up a subsidiary, JINJIB Career, and started a careers information business that covers going on to further study as well as going to work. It is also expanding careers education in schools and tie-ups with local governments aimed at keeping young people working in their home areas.
